SE VIENE!

Pues nada, parece que el treinta de Septiembre de 2022 es otro día D. No tengo ninguna duda de que la espera de más de cinco años desde el anterior disco de Tankard (ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE) va a merecer la pena. Sólo espero que la merezca MUCHO, y que el tiempo de más empleado en el disco debido a la pandemia sólo haga que mejorar el resultado final.

Algunos nombres son obvios, otros me causan curiosidad y el de la última canción directamente me inquieta. No es que Tankard sean ajenos a tocar temas sociales en sus letras, pero ese título, o bien es algo paródico o me parece un poco demasiado.

En fin. La portada corre a cargo de PATRICK STROGULSKI y la producción la ha llevado a cabo MARTIN BUCHWALTER. Con este disco los chavales se estrenan con la discográfica alemana REAPER ENTERTAINMENT, de bastante reciente creación.

Y poco más he visto al respecto de momento, aparte de los distintos formatos del disco (uno incluso incluirá dos cintas con demos), y además, a quién le importa? Esperemos que el subidón de la victoria del EINTRACHT en Sevilla el pasado miércoles contagie el futuro próximo de Tankard.

Vivan el fútbol, la cerveza y el thrash metal!

It's coming!!!

The time is almost here and it looks like next September, the 30th, is D day again for Tankard. I have no doubts that all the waiting (more than five years) since their last offering (ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE) is going to worth my while. I just hope it's REALLY worthy, and that all the extra time needed to finish the whole thing, because of the pandemic, only improves the final outcome.

Some titles are pretty obvious for them and some others make me curious, while that of the last song is quite intriguing. Tankard are not alien (no pun intended) themselves when it comes to talk about social issues in their lyrics, but that one is either parodical or simply too much.

Whatever. PATRICK STROGULSKI handles the cover art and MARTIN BUCHWALTER does the producing. With this album the kids begin their recording relationship with the extremely young german label REAPER ENTERTAINMENT.

And there's not much else to be said about it. No more info whatsoever, as far as I know, apart from the different formats (one will even come with two tapes of demos), and besides, who cares? Let's hope the rush of adrenaline provided by EINTRACHT's victory in Seville last Wednesday may be a guiding light for Tankard's future in the near future.
