BLOG ACTUALIZADO CON FOTOS

Me ha costado casi tres años decidirme a poner fotos en el blog. Como ya he comentado en el pasado, me hubiese gustado hacerlo desde el principio, pero es mi primera vez en esto de administrar un blog y no sé manejarme muy bien. Cada vez que ponía una foto no conseguía que las cosas saliesen como yo quería. Ahora no es que sepa mucho más ni que esté todo como yo quisiera, pero he curioseado un poco en lo relativo al funcionamiento del entorno del blog y su configuración, y me he enterado de lo suficiente para saber poner fotos de una manera en la que al menos no me disguste el resultado final. También es verdad que he intentado cambiar alguna que otra cosa, que supuestamente se puede, y no he podido, y creo que otras opciones y posibilidades que tengo en mente no han de ser nada del otro mundo a la hora de ejecutarlas en el blog, pero de alguna manera no hay esa posibilidad. Es posible que esto de BLOGGER sea bastante limitado, pero es lo que conozco.

Estaba contento, en cualquier caso, con la simpleza anterior del blog, pero sí que es verdad (y ha habido gente que me lo ha hecho saber) que es todo más atractivo y digerible con fotos. Por otro lado, nada ha cambiado aparte de eso.

Así que me he pasado alguna semana que otra recopilando fotos (cerca de seiscientas, nada menos) y colocándolas. Hacerlo de entrada en entrada, según las creo, ha de ser mucho más asequible, pero estamos hablando de unas cincuenta entradas (algunas muy largas) todas juntas, y me ha costado un poco. Espero que el resultado sea del agrado del lector, y también que leer a partir de ahora sea más entretenido gracias a todo esto.

Me gustaría hacer alguna aclaración acerca de las imágenes.

- En las entradas cortas que no hablan de nada en concreto, si no que son explicativas, etc, he colocado siempre la misma imagen, que no es otra que la que está aquí, un poco más arriba, sacada del videojuego THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: THE WIND WAKER, lanzado en Europa en 2003. Se trata del protagonista del mismo, LINK, y es la misma imagen de mi perfil en TWITTER (ahora X) donde publico la última entrada del blog.

- Si la entrada no es tan larga como para haberme decidido a poner la versión inglesa en ella misma, dicha versión inglesa, colocada tras la española, ya no tiene ni fotos ni tampoco el texto de las mismas. Es demasiado trabajo y sería repetir lo mismo en la misma entrada. Creo que cualquiera que no lea español puede interpretar dichas fotos y su texto sin problema, y ponerlo todo en contexto dentro de la versión inglesa.

- Si la entrada es tan larga que, efectivamente, sí que tiene otra distinta en el idioma inglés, entonces sí, están las fotos colocadas de manera idéntica a como lo están en la versión española y los textos están traducidos.

- En cuanto a esos textos, espero que los datos sean correctos. Cualquier fallo que pueda haber se me puede hacer saber sin problema. Lo agradeceré. A veces son simplemente nombres de canciones del artista en cuestión o cosas que se me ocurren. Las fotos que están colocadas las primeras y que aparecen en el índice del blog no llevan texto, así como aquellas de grupos en las que el propio nombre del mismo ya a aparece en la foto. Para no repetir demasiado.

- Fotos iniciales que aparecen en el índice del blog. Yo no quería que apareciese nada en dicho índice, si no sólo dentro de cada entrada, pero no he encontrado otra manera de hacerlo. Si pongo al menos una, ésta aparece en dicho índice sí o sí. Y además, para esta cuestión he tenido que usar fotos más o menos cuadradas, porque las rectangulares o las que ocupan más en vertical salen cortadas en el índice y quedan muy mal. Normalmente se trata de la imagen anterior (Link), de la portada del disco en cuestión, o si la entrada es, digamos, un monográfico, una imagen relacionada con el tema a tratar. En ciertas ocasiones me hubiese gustado usar otras, pero no es tan fácil. En cualquier caso, la foto inicial siempre está publicada con su máximo tamaño, al igual que las portadas de los discos principales y alguna que otra foto relevante o con gran resolución.

- Por la misma razón, si alguna entrada no tiene demasiadas fotos o estas no son de la mejor calidad, lo dicho, a veces no se puede más.

- En algunas entradas hay un previo al asunto del que va la misma (para poner todo en contexto) y se nombran discos pasados (por ejemplo), pero no aparecen las portadas, que sin embargo sí aparecen otras veces. Si la entrada habla de un disco en concreto, habrá fotos que tengan que ver con el tema en dicha introducción, pero no portadas de discos previos, a no ser que sea necesario. Estas portadas (singles, etc) sólo las he puesto en las entradas monográficas, donde se habla de muchas más cosas.

UPDATED BLOG WITH SOME PICTURES

It has taken me almost three long years to finally make up my mind about posting pictures on the blog. I've mentioned in the past that I would have liked to do it from the get go, but this is my first time managing a blog and I'm not very good at it. Every time I posted a picture I got infuriated with the outcome, never the one I was expecting. Not that I've become an expert now, and everything could look much better, but after peeping a little bit within the blog environment and its settings I've learnt enough to post pictures and do it in a way I can be happy with. I've also tried to change some other things (they are supposed to be subjected to be changed) but I can't, and some other possibilities that I have in mind don't look too difficult or unreal to be achieved, but somehow they can't. This BLOGGER thing may be quite limited, but that's what I know.

I was content, anyway, with the blog's former simplicity, but truth is, everything looks more appealing (and some people have told me about it) and enjpyable with some photos, etc. On the other hand, nothing else has changed apart from that.

So I've spent two or three weeks gathering pics (around six hundred) and posting them. Doing so one entry at a time, as I create them, has to be much more affordable, but is around fifty entries (some of them really long), all at once, we are talking about, and it's been tough and tedious. I hope the reader enjoys the new look and also that reading this blog gets much nicer thanks to all this.

I'd like to do some clarifications about the pics.

- On the short entries which talk about nothing in particular, but work as explanation and so so on, I've always posted the same image. On all of them. And that image is no other than the one which is here, above the text, taken from the videogame called THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: THE WIND WAKER, released in Europe in 2003. The picture shows its main character, LINK, and is also my profile pic on TWITTER (now X), where I usually post the blog's most recent entry. 

- If the entry is not very long and I've written its english version after the spanish one, said english version won't have neither the pictures, nor their captions. That would be too much work and it would mean repeating the same stuff on the same entry. I believe anyone who does not read spanish can understand the pics and add some context to them using the english version.

- If the entry is actually very long and it has its english counterpart, then yes, all the pics and the translated captions will be found in the english version and exactly in the same order.

- Concerning those captions, I just hope the info is correct. Any mistake can be reported without hesitation and I'll appreciate it. The captions sometimes are just names of songs by the discussed artist or stuff I come up with. The images at the beginning of the entry, the ones which are shown on the blog's home screen, are not captioned and neither are those of bands whose name is shown on the pic itself. To avoid repetition.

- Opening pics on the home screen. I did not want any image to be shown on said screen, but only within the entry, but it seems like it has to be that way. If I post at least one, this is going to be shown on the home screen no matter what. And also, in order to do this in a way I can be content with, I've seen myself forced to use more or less squeared images, because the rectangular ones or those which take up more space in an upright position do not appear in their entirety in the index and they don't look good. An opening pic can usually be the aforementioned picture (Link), the front cover of the album which is reviewed or, if the entry is, let's call it this way, a monographic, a picture related to the subject at hand. Sometimes I wish I could have used some other pictures but is not that easy. In any case, the opening pic is always posted at its maximum size, like those of the main albums and some others which are very important or have a very good quality.

- For the same reason, if one entry does not seem to have as many pics as others have, or its pics are of poorer quality, please remember, sometimes that is as good as it gets.

- On some entries I do some previous talking about the subject the entry is about (to provide the whole thing with some context), and some previous records, for instance, get mentioned, but their front covers are not shown, while they do appear some other times. Well, if the entry is about an specific album, there will be pics related to the subject, but not covers from other records, unless necessary. Those covers (singles, etc) are only shown on monographic entries, where many more things get discussed.
