FELIZ CUARENTA CUMPLEAÑOS, RAFA!

Sigo con otra fecha muy escogida. Al habitual recordatorio anual del cumpleaños de CLINT EASTWOOD, le sigue, con sólo tres días de diferencia, el primero que hago del de RAFA NADAL. Se trata, casi con total seguridad, de las dos personas más apreciadas en este blog y, si bien no ha habido aún apenas muestras de tal admiración con respecto a Rafa (al contrario de lo visto con Clint, cuya trayectoria protagonizó buena parte de la primavera y del verano de hace dos años), éstas no tardarán mucho tiempo en hacerse presentes.

Todo se debe a que este cumpleaños no es uno cualquiera, si no que a Rafa le toca cumplir cuarenta años esta vez. Cómo pasa el tiempo. Con motivo de tal celebración, tenía la intención de publicar algo grandioso sobre él, pero se me ha ido de las manos y ya no puedo hacerlo a tiempo. Espero no tardar demasiado.

Además de su cuarenta cumple, está el estreno, el pasado fin de semana, del esperado documental sobre... iba a decir su carrera, pero como no he querido enterarme de mucho no sé si es sobre toda ella, sobre una parte de la misma, o sobre temas más íntimos. Sea como sea, el documental se llama simplemente RAFA, que yo sepa tiene cuatro episodios de una hora, y se ha estrenado en Netflix el pasado veintinueve de Mayo. También hablaré de él cuando lo vea.

Mientras tanto, felicidades Rafa! Y que sea por muchos años.

HAPPY FORTIETH BIRTHDAY, RAFA!

Another very special date. The usual yearly reminder about CLINT EASTWOOD's birthday, is followed by the first one I do about RAFA NADAL's. These two people have to be, almost certainly, the two most celebrated individuals on this blog and, while it's true that there has hardly been any proof of such admiration concerning Rafa (unlike with Clint, whose life and career starred a great deal of the spring and the summer from two years ago), it will become apparent in several weeks.

All because this year's birthday is not any birthday, but Rafa's fortieth. Time surely does fly. On the occasion of such celebration, I wanted to post something big about him, but it got out of hand and I can't do it on due time. I hope it won't take me much longer.

Besides Rafa's fortieth birthday, a long awaited documentary on his career was premiered. I did not want to pay very much attention to it before watching it, so I'm not sure if this is about said career, a part of it, or just more personal stuff. Be it as it may, the documentary is called simply RAFA, it has four one hour long episodes, if I'm not mistaken, and has been premiered on Netflix on the last 29th of May. I will also talk about it when I'm done watching it.

In the meantime, happy birthday Rafa! To many more years.
