JUROR Nº2 / POSIBLE ESTRENO EN NOVIEMBRE
Cualquier noticia sobre CLINT EASTWOOD es bienvenida en este blog, y más a estas alturas, cuando de lo que se trata es de la que se ha anunciado como la película final del astro californiano, algo más que comprensible ya que, por mucho que nos pese a la gran mayoría, Eastwood cumplió noventa y cuatro años el pasado mes de Mayo.

Su anterior película, CRY MACHO, estrenada en 2021, había de poner fin a su carrera como actor (más sobre ella en LOS ÚLTIMOS AÑOS), y JUROR Nº2 será la última como director, y la que ponga fin a su carrera en general. Me permito, eso sí, acompañar esto último de un pequeño interrogante ya que, a pesar de todo lo que se ha comentado, bueno... es de Clint Eastwood de quien estamos hablando.
Al final del enlace anterior comento lo poco que sé acerca de esta película, de la cual no ha trascendido aún ninguna imagen, adelanto o cartel. Por eso me remito a estos dos artículos, en inglés y en español, que hablan de la poca información que hay acerca de ella, pero también sobre la posibilidad de que no sólo se estrene antes de terminar este año 2024, si no ya en un par de meses, nada más empezar Noviembre (el día uno cae en Viernes, día habitual de estreno).

Los dos artículos dicen más o menos lo mismo, la verdad. Ojalá que, como dicen ambos, esta película se acerque más a THE MULE (MULA, 2018), y sobre todo a la genial RICHARD JEWELL (2019), que a la anterior y un tanto sosa Cry Macho.

El último enlace sugiere que el estreno será limitado, a partir del uno de Noviembre, y que su visionado en cines en cierto territorio dependerá de cómo responda la audiencia. Veremos.
Cuando se estrene y vaya a verla, será comentada por aquí con toda la parafernalia y honores que Clint merece.

JUROR Nº2 / THEATRICAL RELEASE IN NOVEMBER?
Anything pertaining CLINT EASTWOOD is welcome on this blog, and even more so this far into his very long career, when what has been heralded as the californian star final movie is the subject at hand. Something which is completely understandable because, no matter how heavy our hearts get because of this, Eastwood turned ninety four last May.
His last one, CRY MACHO, premiered in 2021, was meant to be his last film as an actor (more on it on THE LAST YEARS), and JUROR Nº2 will be his last as a director and the one to put his career as a whole to an end. Allow me to add a small question mark to this last assertion, just in case, because despite all that has been said, well... is Clint Eastwood who we are talking about.
By the end of that previous link I talk about how little I know of this film, about which no picture, teaser or poster has become known. That's why I go by the two next articles, in english and spanish, which talk about the little info we all still have about it, but also about the possibility that it may be premiered not only before the end of this current 2024, but already in a couple of months time, by the beginning of November (the first day of the month is a Friday, usual premiering day).

This last link (also in spanish) suggests that the premiere could be restricted, from the first of November, and that its showing in theatres will depend on how the audiences respond. We'll see.
When it is premiered and I go see it, it will be reviewed here with all the fanfare and honours someone like Clint deserves.
